Now it's time to learn about another important element of art... VALUE.
The element of value refers to the lightness or darkness of a color. Value in black and white can be created by making marks closer together or further part.
First, you are going to create different value scales using different techniques. After that we will use VALUE to draw a panda bear. Using value creates the illusion that the objects in your artwork have volume, which will make your artwork much more interesting and lifelike.
We will also experiment with some Chinese-looking letters to write our names.
